Just bought some of your ice cream for the first time. Deeeeeliciuos! It tastes like real ice cream instead of the puffed up stuff that you buy at the supermarket. I buy your eggs and now the ice cream. We are truly lucky to have people producing home grown products. I will always try to buy local. Keep all those wonderful products coming.
Thank You

Dear Farmers Cow:
Another benefit of buying Farmers Cow eggs is that when there's a recall of half a billion eggs nationwide, connected to farms in Iowa, you know yours aren't part of it - because they come from here in Connecticut!

Wow, am I ever happy The Farmer's Cow broke into ice cream! I'm absolutely addicted to Heifer Nutter Peanut Butter. I sort of want to keep it as my secret, but how can I? The world needs to know! Thanks for adding to your repertoire - man can't live on milk alone, but he can definitely live on ice cream!

We are big fans of the farmer's cow milk and when we saw your ice cream yesterday in stop and shop we gave it a try. The Black raspberry moo is amazing!!!
Thanks,
The Foohey family

Farmers Cow,
Just found your eggs; they are fresh and great tasting.
Now have to try your milk. At 68 I am still finding jewels in CT.
Sincerely,

My father and I visited your farm last year around this time; I believe you were having some sort of dairy festival and we were granted an excellent tour. I'd love to take my dad, a child of a Maine dairy farmer, to another of the Farmer's Cow farms. Are there any good days to visit in the end of June/early July? Also, which farm might you recommend?
Again, thanks for last year's tour and for your time. I am a religious consumer of your milk. It's excellent.
Thanks so much,
Andrew

Thanks for the comment on the walk-by who posted this note on our van window at the Stop & Shop in Branford, CT.
The green post-it reads:
We love Farmer's Cow

Thank you for giving your time and the great milk and eggs I eat and drink daily. It is so nice to have a farm here in CT that we can trust not to put any chemicals in there products. Just wanted to say Thanks to all workers at the farm and that I appreciate all you do for CT and your farm animals.
Yours truly,
Jackie, New Britain, CT

While shopping in our local Newtown Big Y, I came across your products and decided to give your milk and eggs a try. All I can say, it "WOW", and "Outstanding". Having grown up in Newtown, there were still some local farms where you could still get fresh eggs and milk, and it was wholesome. Well, times have changed, land sold, and well, you know the rest.
Your egg yolks are a true deep yellow color and no odor, as they should be, and your milk taste "clean", "fresh" and "wholesome".
So, my email to you is to say, my family and I are "All In." Thank You Farmer's Cow!
It feels like home again..... :)
Sincerely,
Carol, Newtown, CT

I had lived in CT for 25 years and moved to Vermont….Today I Was searching the egg line
at Stop & Shop in North Adams, MA… I found your eggs and was so pleased to see a
product from Lebanon, CT…Of course, I purchased them and will seek your products in
the store when I shop…. Thank you again… Many, many people from Connecticut are
living in Vermont…. A beauteous state….
Keep your products a-comin to Massachusetts or even Vermont…

Glad to get your newsletter. I enjoyed your lemonade at Connecticut College Earth Day,
and haven’t been able to enjoy any other kind of lemonade since then. Absolutely
the best! Thanks for the free bottle also. Is this the first year of
the cider or is it just the web page that is being designed? I am so looking forward
to having some in the fall.
Best regards, New London

Great product and packaging.
Just finished two glasses of cold Farmer's Cow skim milk.
Delicious! I can't get enough of it!
Keep up the good work.
My family and I will do our part to keep you in business.
Thanks!
Norwalk, CT

I’ve been buying your milk at Stop & Shop for quite some time because you have
such a good product and I like to help support our local farmers whenever possible. I just
purchased your apple cider and was blown away!! It is the best I have had in years. Keep
up the good work!

“I attended the Celebration of Connecticut Farms this week-end and I am hooked on your
Lemonade & Iced Tea. It is absolutely the best I have ever tasted. Where can I buy it?
I live in Wallingford, CT. “
“First of all, we had a wonderful time today (at the Celebration of Connecticut Farms). Mister
Waterson and Monsieur Pepin were most gracious hosts. We were sorry we could not meet Faith, she sounds
like such a kick on the radio. The food, wine, beer, and milk, yes milk that we coaxed from The Farmer’s
Cow stand were all delicious. The representatives from the area farms and restaurants were welcoming
and encouraging regarding their wares. The clearing people were truly extraordinary in their unobtrusive
work. We look forward to the September 2008 event, and hope we can be included as sponsors in the program
of this wonderful event next year.”

I recently purchased your milk at the Village Market in Wilton, CT while visiting my father. However,
I live in Tarrytown, NY (Westchester County) & I was wondering if there was a way to
get your wonderful milk here ~ it's THAT delicious & I'm sure that people around here
would want to buy it & support
local CT dairy farmers! I'd rather purchase your delicious, hormone-free milk & support
local CT dairy farmers, than get the tasteless milk we get around here. Thanks in advance!
Tarrytown, NY

Just wanted to say we love your milk - its got a completely different taste from "supermarket
milk". Keep it coming !!!

I began buying your milk instead of organic milk because you do not ultra-pasteurize and
because I support farming in CT. Please do not use this procedure. I am happy
to know that the welfare of the animals is a priority for you, as you suggest in the business
section of the Hartford Courant. I am looking forward to your new products.
Branford, CT

My sister just turned me on to your milk and we love it!!! I have two growing boys
who always wanted to add strawberry syrup to their milk--until now. There is a definite
taste difference and even I am drinking more milk because of it. I'm having trouble
keeping enough of it in the house!
Wallingford, CT

I love that you are local and use no artificial growth hormones. My daughter drinks milk
with lunch and dinner. I would absolutely love it if you'd make gallons. We go through Milk
quickly it is a little less expensive to buy a gallon than 2 half gallons. Are gallons in
the future?

To all of the fine people who work to give me Connecticut fresh milk every day- thank you!
A short while ago I read an article about your business cooperative and ever since then
I have been a reeeeeeaaaallly loyal customer. I am in my heart a "tree hugger",
finding it ever-so-difficult to find a tree to hug. When I heard that I could support
local CT farms just by buying milk!? How easy is that! I just didn't know which
milk was yours.....now I do and now I am proud to support you. I find myself speaking
to strangers in the dairy aisle about the benefits of buying and supporting
local CT farms! Love your picture on the carton, by the way. The cow is adorable
Wethersfield, CT

I was just putting my milk in the refrigerator and noticed your website on the carton. I
wanted you to know that I go out of my way to always buy Farmer’s Cow. We
live in Waterford and frequently pass one of your farms on the way to our son’s home. We
believe in supporting local farmers and businesses. We love Farmer’s Cow
and wanted you know that.

When I was younger, my uncle owned a dairy farm in New York and we would visit him often,
and I would help
milk the cows. That was the best milk I ever tasted! Now, my own children can enjoy the wonderful creamy
flavor of "real" milk, from Farmer's Cow. I know I sound like an advertisement, but your
milk brings back
memories of my uncle's farm, and I like knowing that my children drink fresh, healthful milk.
I was wondering -- will you be offering half-n-half and/or cream in the future?
Thanks so much for Farmer's Cow!
Woodstock, CT

Please offer your milk in gallon containers. It would be more economical for me to
buy it in gallons, and a reasonable alternative to organic for me.
Clinton, CT

We appreciate that you share our philosophy to protect Connecticut’s farmland. Dairy
farms like ours help to give our state its unique New England flavor, providing quality of
life, scenic vistas and environmental benefits.
I was especially impressed by your philosophy to protect Connecticut as we know it;
however, I didn't see anything on your website indicating that the milk is organic. Can
you confirm?

“I am now using non-organic "The Farmer's Cow" because it's produced locally
in Connecticut where I live, and is free of growth hormones, and a good deal less expensive
than organic. My main reason to switch is because The Farmer's Cow nonfat milk is substantially
fresher and sweeter tasting than the organic brands.”

We love your milk, but you've really gone the whole hog with your
music. When I first heard it, I laughed so hard that I nearly spit a
whole mouthful of milk all over my girlfriend. Please continue to be
as cool as your milk is tasty.

I just wanted to say my son and I so enjoyed the open house in Coventry on 7/15/06. I have
lived in Coventry since 1977 whey my family moved here and Hytone Farm has always been one
of my favorite places to drive by. I always knew I was home once I came down the hill past
the farm. Having the open house was a good way to create local interest in the farms in Connecticut
and I enjoyed the tour and found it fascinating. The Farmers Cow milk will now be my choice
when shopping.

I wanted to send an email to tell you that I LOVE the radio ad's you have going
on right now. I have never heard an ad that actually made me turn UP the radio, until this
one came out.
Very catchy tune!
I've been buying The Farmer's Cow milk for several months now. Your milk
is so delicious, and fresh-tasting that I drink more than usually is the case. Just
wanted you to know that I buy it at either Tri-Town or Stop & Shop in East Lyme.
Thanks for a really excellent product and hope that the business is doing well.

I was invited to dinner last night – at a family’s home with 2 growing kids.
Anyway, instead of bringing my usual two bottles of wine, I bought two containers of your
Milk (one quart full and the other one low fat).
Wrapped both in meadow green silk paper and inserted them into a gift bag with a nice big
cow face. Inserted a cellophane bag of my homemade cookies, topped it all off with a cute
stuffed cow.
It was a hit ! Kids and parents alike loved my moo-bag.
Well, that’s how excited I am about your product. It truly inspired me….
A healthy and fun gift!
I am happy to purchase milk for my family that is local and not shipped
from a far distance. Do you use any antibiotics or hormones in your
cows? How are your cows treated? Do any of the farms practice organic
farming?

I am a huge fan of The Farmer’s Cow milk and love how this creative idea is trying
to preserve Ct Dairy Farms!
I was wondering if your milk contains growth hormones, pesticides, etc. It doesn’t
say so on the box, nor does it need to per-se, but I would like to know. I am a nutritionally-concerned
parent who tries to provide as much wholesome and organic food for my family as possible.
Are you coming out with milk in gallon containers? With 3 kids who drink tons of milk,
we GOTTA have the skim in gallons. As we finish one half gallon every day or so, it simply
creates too much trash and is much more cumbersome to buy/carry/store this size of milk container.
The cumulative half gallon price is also a bit high when compared to the gallons in the store,
but I would be willing to pay up to $5.99 for a gallon of your milk. Please make this happen.

Response From Our Farmers
Our farms produce fresh, natural, wholesome milk that is free of artificial growth hormones
(rBGH). While we are not certified organic we all believe in producing a natural product
and feed our cattle high quality home grown forages. Antibiotics are not routinely fed
to animals in our herds. Antibiotics
are used in certain situations, under veterinary direction, when animal health requires it. In such
cases, the cow is separated from the milking herd until she is healthy and her milk is clean and tests
negative to antibiotics. All of our farm members place great emphasis on taking good care of our cows
and the land.
The Farmer’s Cow milk is bottled locally, not far from our farms, and doesn’t
have to travel long distances to get to the kitchen table. We hold tours on our farms
during the spring, summer and fall. These tours allow our customers to visit our farms,
meet the cows and our farmers, and actually see where The Farmer’s Cow milk comes from.
