Fairvue Farms is located in Woodstock, CTFairvue Farm, located next to the historic Woodstock Fairgrounds in Woodstock, has been a Miller family dairy farm since 1962.

In the past 40-plus years, the Millers have expanded their herd from 40 to 900 Holstein milking cows, and their cropland has grown to more than 1,800 acres. In order to grow enough feed for their cows, the Miller’s also rent cropland from landowners in several adjacent towns who are willing to let them grow corn and hay on their property.

Neighbors often stop by Fairvue Farm to pick up The Farmer’s Cow’s fresh products, which the Millers sell from the self-service shop set up in the entryway of their farmhouse. The families of the three-generational Miller farm are active in local agricultural committees, as well as statewide organizations. Their participation in the state’s Celebrating Agriculture event allows hundreds of visitors to tour their barns each year.

Diane and Paul have been dairy farming together since 1967 when they purchased Fairvue Farm in Woodstock from Paul’s mother. The Millers are strong believers in a positive future for dairy farming and locally grown products which is why they are active on Woodstock’s local agricultural committees. The Millers believe they need to be good stewards of the land, observing careful practices in conservation and wildlife management on the farm.
